Western Slope Office of Technology Transfer

As an economic development partner to the Grand Valley, the Business Incubator Center has a responsibility to support the commercialization of innovation for the health and diversification of our local business community. This nurturing of invention is the core mission of the Western Slope Office of Technology Transfer. Western Slope Office of Technology Transfer serves the Incubator Center’s mission to support the launch, growth, stabilization and long-term success of business enterprises in Mesa County, upon which the organization was founded.

The Office of Technology Transfer undertakes this service for the community by working closely with St. Mary’s Hospital, Colorado Mesa University and inventors to assist in determining the most effective methods for transfer of technology.

The Western Slope Office of Technology Transfer evaluates inventions and assists the commercial development of suitable inventions. We will begin the evaluation process with an preliminary meeting with Business Coaches through the SBDC. Once an inventor/entrepreneur has had their first meeting with an SBDC coach, they will then be entered into the Office of Technology Transfer program and begin with an initial meeting.
