I’m originally from Clay County, Missouri but I’ve lived in Grand Junction since 1993. I started my banking career in 1955. Have a business degree and I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking. I was a bank president and CEO for 24 years in Missouri. I did also hold a securities license in Missouri. I was licensed in all lines of insurance in Colorado. I have a good background in real estate lending and development. I have served on numerous bank and insurance comapny boards. I am currently on a utility borad of directors. I have been an active investor in neumerous business ventures. I have also taught personal finance at the college level and serves on 3 college boards.
I have serve on several boards in the Grand Valley including Grand Junction Symphony, Salvation Army, Community Hospital and Mesa State College Foundation.
My personal motto is: “Set goals and priorities and completion dates. Be optimistic but also realistic in business. Have a plan.”
What I love most about being a business coach with that Grand Junction SBDC is helping people succeed, making them think before acting without a plan.
